Robin Gibb's widow is suing the mother of his love child to keep her from getting more than has already been agreed upon.

After a year-long legal battle, the tragic singer agreed to the lump-sum payment to
former housekeeper Claire Yang for the upkeep of their three-year-old daughter Snow Robin. But now his family fear his ex-mistress will press for more money for the child when his £140million estate is made public.
Robin’s devastated widow Dwina is worried Claire, 36, will bring in her lawyers despite both sides agreeing the huge child maintenance deal in January.
The payment is to cover the living expenses and upkeep of Snow Gibb.
Robin who died from liver and colon cancer last Sunday aged 62, had a long-term affair with Claire but was asked to leave the Gibbs’ 12th Century mansion by Dwina, 59, when she became pregnant. Robin paid for her to live in a rented home before Snow Robin was born in November 2008.

They had an open relationship, so he was not cheating on her. I believe they had an emotional bond and a commitment to stay with each other and to support each other. My understanding is she felt betrayed because she thought the woman got pregnant on purpose because she wanted more from the relationship and perhaps for financial reasons. She felt betrayed by the housekeeper because they were adults who all understood the terms of the relationship and agreed to those terms and the woman broke that trust. She asked the woman to leave, not Robin and I think he also felt betrayed and that ended the relationship. If the pregnancy had been an oopsie, that would have been a different situation. It may not have been a conventional relationship, but they were all adults and they knew the terms and had made a commitment to honor those terms. That, I believe is why they felt betrayed and who they felt betrayed by. I think they discussed finances when Robin was ill and knew he might die and agreed upon a sum of money and that is why she wasn't given more in the will, not because he wasn't taking financial responsibility for his daughter. The fear is because the relationship with the little girl's mother is antagonistic, the mother will try to use the child to get her hands on more money. He provided for all his children, but did so through lawyers with this particular child because of the relationship with her mother, not because he didn't love and support his child.
My understanding is that Robin's marriage was not an open relationship, but Dwina forgave his affair when it was discovered. It's too bad when aging men allow their feelings of insecurity about getting old supercede their commitment to their wives and families.
